The beautiful, brave 13 year old from South Wales with a condition known as Neurofibromatosis. From the age of 15 months, Tia braved the various side effects of her condition, including partial blindness, mass tumour growth and frequent hospitalisation. Tia and her family have been fundraising for some time now, but in the past two months, with the knowledge that Tia was to imminently loose her right leg, the family ramped up fundraising efforts. In the process of doing so, Tia's parents contacted the Princes Gate Trust with the request for a donation. Moved by the unwavering spirit of this wonderful young girl, and her determination to embrace life's blessings, we were compelled to act further. Tia is now the worthy recipient of a new wheelchair, five times more powerful than even the best the NHS produce, the aim of which is to allow Tia to challenge her physical condition, such is her greatest wish.
The support of all of the Princes Gate Trustees and event participants have exercised great change to this spirited young persons life, the reverberations of which know no limits.
